Contrina “Jala” Jenkins<\/h2>\n

Poet, Playwright, Screenwriter, Producer, Philanthropist, and the list continue\u2026.<\/p>\n

In 2010 Contrina decide to invest in herself and her dreams. She added the title business woman to her list of growing accomplishments. \u00a0She formed her own independent production company. JalaWorld Productions which was created to entertain and educate today\u2019s society through performance art. Using poetry and works of fiction as a tool to empower and enlighten others. She wrote and produced three stage plays (Karma, Love Is, and Forever Yours) that tackled topics like infidelity, self-love, AIDS, homosexuality, and sexual assault. In 2016 JalaWorld released an independent film, \u201cLove Is\u2026\u201d Contrina put on the director\u2019s hat with her sophomore film \u201cPipe Dreams\u201d that was released in the summer of 2018. 2019 JalaWorld released the short film \u201cDefinition of Manhood\u201d to her growing list of productions.<\/p>\n

Contrina lives by the creed that no dream is impossible if you believe and have an unstoppable work ethic. The sky is the limited!<\/p>\n\n\n

Rhonda \u201cBag Lady\u201d Adams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

 Born and raised in\nBeaumont, Texas, Rhonda was always drawn to creativity and has had the ability\nto make a concept come to life. Utilizing her passion for fashion and interior\ndesign, she has worked as Creative Director on various photo and Cinematography\nprojects. Although relatively new to the stage and film side of production,\nRhonda is no stranger to executing the behind-the-scenes details as the owner\nof The Event DOC, an event planning firm which specializes in wedding and event\ncoordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Rhonda is proud to be working with Jalaworld Productions again after having done set design, wardrobe design, location scouting, and work as a Production Assistant on the stage play, Forever Yours, and the short film Definition of Manhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\nCourtney Elaine\n\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Graphic Designer, Photographer, Visionary, and Business Owner, My love for design and theatre established my role as Artistic Director for JWP. As a self-taught designer My role within JWP motivated me to pursue an education in design. I received my Associates Degree in Visual Communications from Lone Star Community College. Upon graduating I began doing business as Courtney Elaine Designs. My Graphic Design work can be seen in Young Houston Magazine is displayed on \u201cTrinity\u2019s Theorem Tees\u201d and has aided other small business owners with marketing materials and branding their businesses. As a photographer, I am currently doing business as \u201cThe Soul\u2019s Eye Photography\u201d. My photography and mixed medium artwork has been on display in art exhibitions such as the \u201cArt Official Intelligence\u201d at Texas Southern University, the \u201cCitywide Five-A Exhibit\u201d with the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, and \u201cMusic Saved My Life\u201d. My personal hobbies consist of mentoring young ladies ages 9-18, crafting, writing and watching classic films. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vincent Johnson “Black Bluez’ <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Poet. Writer. Actor. Visionary. No matter what the title associated with Black Bluez the word exceptional shall proceed. In 2006 his book \u201cA Bluez Joint\u201d served as the first piece of product offered by the poet. In 2007 he released a cd entitled \u201cAdventures In Negro History\u201d. He ranked 5 at the 2007 Blue Bonnet Slam and has competed nationally as a slam poet. He\u00a0 served as the coach of Gawd Slam a nationally acclaim slam team. Served as acting coach and Assistant
